This is the story of a baroque armchair, that used to be the queen of the salons of the bourgeoisie. Though, she got abandoned when the passing of time started changing her famous allure, and she thought her charme was lost and that she would forever be cursed. But then after going trough the warmth and the pain of the fire, she got her wisdom, and authenticity back, and she shook off her demons finding her beauty again. She goes now by the name of NUDE.
The frame of an old baroque armchair has been blackened by fire and then processed with natural oil, on the basis of the ancient japanese Yakisugi technique. The fire has given the wood a special black color and it makes it more resistant to parasitic and to fire itself. The original cover was then replaced with a minimal cord that was braided on the armchair scaffold, thanks to the skillful hands of local artisans.
Replicable on order.
